bré Brows

Ombre brows, also known as ombre powder brows or shaded brows, are a popular semi-permanent makeup technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. This technique involves creating a gradient effect on the eyebrows, starting with a lighter colour at the front and gradually transitioning to a darker shade towards the tail. Unlike microblading or nano brows which creates individual hair-like strokes, ombré brows focus on filling in the entire brow area with a soft powder effect.

Shaping

The shaping of the eyebrows is a vital aspect of ombré brows. To achieve the desired shape and symmetry, a wax pencil is used to outline the brows. This outline is then filled in to visually assess and perfect the shape and symmetry before the tattooing process begins. Attention to detail is essential during this step, and a minimum of 30 minutes is dedicated to shaping to ensure that the client is completely satisfied with the end result.

Process

After drawing the desired eyebrow shape, a thin outline is tattooed to maintain the shape during the procedure. Multiple layers of shading are then added to gradually build up the desired level of colour saturation. It is important to approach the shading process conservatively to avoid overwhelming the client with overly dark brows. This ensures that the client is comfortable and satisfied with the final result.

Result

The result of ombré brows is a more defined and filled-in eyebrow shape that appears gradually darker towards the tail, mimicking the natural gradient and giving a soft, powdery makeup look. This technique is particularly beneficial for those with sparse or uneven eyebrows, as it can create the illusion of fuller and more symmetrical brows.

Healed

Ombré brows typically require a touch-up session after the initial procedure to perfect the colour and shape. With proper aftercare and regular maintenance, the results can last between one to three years, depending on individual factors such as skin type and lifestyle. This photo shows the healed result of ombré brows after one session. Work was done over an existing brows that faded orange over time. Ombré brows is perfect for covering up unwanted colours and usually heals very well on any skin type.
